Well done to everyone who has represented Bengeworth First School so far this academic year. May there be lots more occasions to be competitive and enjoy playing other local schools.
Football
On Friday 21st October 2011, the Year 4 and 5 boy’s football squad competed in the first round of the school league. Bengeworth won the first match against Harvington 4-1. Well done to Louie Mason who scored 3 goals and Daniel Walker who scored 1 goal. The second match was extremely close against Badsey. Unfortunately Bengeworth lost 1-0 however they played exceptionally well as a team and improved tactically throughout the game. Great work boys!
On Thursday 24th November, the Year 4 football squad played St Richards and Swan Lane at Evesham High School. What an amazing performance. During the first match against St Richards Year 5B squad, Jack Wright scored the initial goal, within the first minute. We continued to attack throughout to win the game 10 – 2. Connor Hill’s defensive play proved to be exemplary. Well done to Mitchell Leaming, Kieran Burrrows, Ben Morris and Henry Powell for making up the magical numbers. The second match proved to be more challenging against Swan Lane’s Year 5 team. However we continued to dig deep won 7 – 2. Well done to Jack, Mitchell and Josh Bignall Huntley. Congratulations to all players and parents! Lovely to see such fantastic support!
